12 months · 3 people
46.7% lower under these assumptions
Per person: $165,000 × 1.30 compared with $55 × 40 hours × 52 weeks. Both multiplied by 3 people for 12 months.
Planning comparison only. Direct employment and staff augmentation have different responsibilities. Optional equipment, software, overtime, recruitment costs and taxes outside your overhead assumption are not included.

Use your actual costs
Include benefits, employer costs and equipment in your overhead estimate. Replace sample values with your own budget.

With staff augmentation, your team directs delivery. Direct recruitment creates a hire you engage directly, with ongoing compensation separate.

Questions, answered
Calculator questions, answered.
Does this calculator estimate ROI?
It compares modeled hiring costs. It does not estimate revenue, productivity, investment return or a guaranteed saving. Those depend on your team and the work delivered.
Where do the sample numbers come from?
They are editable planning examples, not current salary benchmarks or a personalized quote. Staff augmentation starts from $45/hr; the $45/hr default is the published starting rate; change it to explore a scenario. Ask for a rate for your actual role.
How is staff augmentation calculated?
Direct employment is annual base salary × (1 + overhead percentage) × months ÷ 12 × people. Hourly capacity is rate × billed hours per week × billed weeks per year × months ÷ 12 × people. Use consistent working-time assumptions.
What does the recruitment comparison include?
The alternative agency fee you enter is compared with Odesa’s $7,999 fee per successful hire. Both are multiplied by the number of hires. Compensation and ongoing employment costs are excluded.
What if the Odesa estimate is higher?
The result displays the additional modeled cost. Change only the inputs that reflect your actual requirements, then compare responsibilities, experience and engagement terms alongside price.
Will this send my budget to Odesa?
No. The calculator runs in your browser and does not submit its numeric inputs to Odesa. The contact button opens our enquiry page with the originating page and selected service; you choose what budget to share there.
